General Faq's

  • Please ensure you entered the correct Phone number or Email address.
  • Try checking your spam or junk inboxes for the verification email.
  • If you still cannot find the email, please contact us at smartsupport@globe-electric.com.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
  • NOTE: Globe Suite devices only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks, however once connected you can use any available network—even cellular data networks—to control your Globe Suite devices from anywhere.
  • Make sure your phone and device are as close to your router as possible.
  • Ensure your router supports a 2.4GHz network (most dual band routers support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks).
  • Most 5 GHz networks are suffixed by “_5G.” Select the network that does not have “_5G” in its name. Under your phone’s setting, set your Wi-Fi network to 2.4GHz
  • Some 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks are hidden. If you are experiencing difficulties finding your 2.4 GHz network, contact your internet service provider or router manufacturer for support.
  • Globe Smart Bulbs:
  1. Power on device. Turn OFF after 10 seconds.
  2. (Turn ON – Turn OFF) 3-5 times
  3. When the device is flashing rapidly (x2 times per second) the device is now ready to be paired.

 

  • Globe Smart Plugs:
  1. Power on the device.
  2. Turn OFF after 10 seconds and then turn power ON.
  3. Hold on the power button for 5 seconds and then release.
  4. When the indicator light is blinking rapidly, your device is now ready to be paired.
  • Please ensure your device is close enough to your network wireless router. (50m)
  • Confirm your Amazon Echo/Google Home is working properly.
  • When putting numbers in the device’s name, make sure to spell out the number instead of using the numerical value.
  • Make sure your device has simple name.
  • Try reconnecting your Amazon Echo/Google Home.

Follow the instructions below to learn how to set up your Globe Suite™ devices with Amazon Alexa.

Launch the Alexa App.

Tap the menu button “≡” at the upper left corner and select “Skills & Games”.

Enter “Globe Suite” in the search bar, select “Globe Suite” then tap “ENABLE”.

Enter your Globe Suite™ username/password and tap “Authorize”.

Once authorized, tap “DISCOVER DEVICES” or use voice command, “Alexa, discover devices.” To find your Globe Suite™ devices.

Note: If you to add more devices in the future, you will need to discover devices again.

How to set up your Globe Suite™ scenes with Amazon Alexa if it does not automatically sync?

  1. Create a Trigger Scene or Automatic Scene in the Globe Suite™ App
  2. Open the Alexa App
  3. Tap “Scenes” and select “Discover Scenes”

To group your devices together, tap the “+” button on the upper top right corner and select “Add Group”.

Enter your custom group name or select a common name, tap “NEXT”. Scroll through the device list and select what devices you want to add to your group. When finished selecting, hit “SAVE”.

Your group will now appear on the home page with the selected devices. You can independently control each device in the group with a voice command.

For example: “Alexa, turn [GROUP/DEVICE] ON/OFF“, “Alexa, turn Living Room TV ON.

Follow the instructions below to learn how to set up your Globe Suite™ devices with Google Assistant.

Launch the Google Home App.

Click the “Add” button under “Home” and select “Set up device”.

Click “Have something already set up?” and search for “Globe Suite” in the search bar. Select the Globe Suite™ App to begin the integration.

Enter your Globe Suite™ username/password and tap “Authorize”.

 

If successfully integrated, you will see “Account is now linked.” Your Google Home is now connected with your Globe Suite™ devices.

To group your devices together, click the “In your home” section and scroll through the device list and select what devices you want to add to your group by tapping.

Tap the “Add to a room” button at the bottom left of your screen and enter your custom group name or select a common name, when finished tap “NEXT”.
